The xSeries Cable Chain Technology Cable Kit enables one or multiple IBM eserver xSeries 330 systems to be connected to a single console or console switch. Each xSeries 330 contains a single KVM chaining cable designed to chain multiple xSeries 330 servers together in a rack enclosure. This kit provides the interface components to attach the last server to either a console or console switch, and it supports the chaining together of xSeries 330 systems.

Description:  

C2T Cable Kit; consisting of one 3 ft (0.9 meters) KVM Breakout Cable  to connect a keyboard, mouse, and monitor to a single, or to a last-in-chain xSeries server (see compatibility list). It may also be connected to a KVM Switch - allowing more than 42 servers to be controlled by a single console

Using additional chaining cables, up to 42 servers can be daisy-chained. IBM does not recommended to using more than one 6.5 ft cable in the chain; To chain more than two servers together, the 245mm chaining cable (P/N 00N7005 FRU 00N7006 ) or 00N7003 should be used.
